In his latest loony video, kooky software king John McAfee has gone from Silicon Valley pioneer to a playboy that would make Hugh Hefner blush.

The eccentric millionaire, who had been sought for questioning in a murder case in Central America, gets a lap dance, snorts 'bath salts' and shows off a collection of guns in the spoof clip posted on his blog Wednesday.

Entitled, 'The McAfee Guide to Uninstalling McAfee Antivirus,' the 67-year-old takes aim at the software empire that he built in the 1980s.

'Although I've had nothing to do with this company for over 15 years, I still get volumes of mail asking, 'How do I uninstall this software?' I have no idea,' says a silk robe-dressed McAfee before setting a bill on fire to light a cigarette.

He then reads a couple of letters from people complaining that the software is slowing down their computers and is requiring them to download updates at inopportune times.

While he asks a friend to explain to viewers how to uninstall the software, a group of busty women undress McAfee, grope him and watch as he inhales a white powder labeled 'bath salts.'

By the end, McAfee goes on a tear about his former company, which is currently owned by Intel but still bears his name.

'Fifteen years ago, I had some beautiful software and they took it over. I don't know what they did,' he says.

His solution for uninstalling the anti-virus program: He grabs a pistol and fires at his computer screen.

McAfee has previously said he's not too fond of the software, telling FT Weekend Magazine in December that he takes it off his computer.

'It's too annoying,' he said.

The lampooning of his namesake company is only the latest bizarre turn in a past year that has seen McAfee go off the rails.

After leaving the U.S. for Belize about six years ago, the British-born entrepreneur ended up clashing with his neighbor, who apparently wasn't happy about McAfee's dogs.

The animals were found poisoned just before neighbor Gregory Viant Faull, also an ex-pat American, was discovered dead Nov. 11 with a gunshot wound to the head.

Belizean authorities have called McAfee a 'person of interest' in the case, but not a suspect.

Still, that didn't stop him from claiming the local government was persecuting him for something he wasn't involved with, releasing cryptic messages on his website and then illegally entering Guatemala in a failed bid to seek asylum.

The country deported him in December, and he was sent back to the U.S., where he is a citizen. He's set roots in Portland, Ore., and said he's working on a graphic novel with illustrator Chad Essley.

Essley is credited as the director and writer of McAfee's latest video.

But the drama hasn't completely died down for the software tycoon.

Belizean authorities, meanwhile, have said they don't plan to have McAfee extradited.

He told USA Today last month that U.S. officials haven't questioned him in the murder case since his return. And despite his outlandish behavior, he denies using drugs.

'I am not a mad man,' he said. 'I am eccentric, gracious, attentive, kind, humorous. We humans are funny creatures.'

Apple on Monday formally announced its latest mobile operating system, iOS 7, and while it looks and feels familiar, its fresh design is enough to inject much needed life in the mobile platform.

The iPhone and iPad software marks about a year's worth of work for the company at an uncertain time following the departure of its key software executive, Scott Forstall, who oversaw the overall design, aesthetic, and functionality of the mobile operating system.

Ive took over Forstall's job, which marked the beginning of a dramatic change for the overall design ethos at the company.

In a video prepared by Apple, Sir Jonathan Ive, the company's design chief, explained the new interface.

With simpler, flatter home screen icons and a thinner typography for the entire platform,�the changes are subtle enough to not alienate existing customers but wide enough to drive updates.�

While the new interface is�very black and white in a sense, it appeared to have enough color for "depth and vitality," according to Ive. Like OS X Mavericks, which was announced earlier today,�

It also "tracks" your movements in order to respond to the angle of your hands. It offers a 3D-like depth depending on the way you hold the device. The background stays where it is, while the icons appear to "bubble" out.

According to Craig Federighi, whose contributed�to the new software�'� following earlier reports that OS X developers were pulled onto the iOS team in order to hit deadlines�'� the "best way to appreciate iOS 7 is to see it live."

The most surprising part is that it runs on older iPhones�'� as far back as the iPhone 4. Some analysts expected it to only reach the iPhone 5 in order to boost sales.�iOS 7 will be supported by the iPhone 4 and later, the�iPad 2 and later, the�iPad mini, and the iPod touch (4th generation) and later.�

New services have been added, including Wikipedia, Twitter, and Bing search results.

iOS in the Car:�The iPhone software is now integrated with the display in your car, with "eyes free" features.�Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Volvo, Jaguar and others are integrating iOS in the Car in 2014.�

App Store: New age-range categories are added to the application store, also the "Popular Near Me" location-based feature that selects the best apps depending on where you are. Background updating has also been included, allowing apps to be upgraded and fixed without manual intervention.

Music: New artist imagery, and deeper iCloud integration. Movies and TV shows are also included in your library.�

iTunes Radio: Rumored to be called iRadio, the new streaming service will launch as an ad-supported service in the U.S., with other countries coming later. Read more.

Activation lock: When an iOS 7-powered device is lost or stolen and tries to disable Find My iPhone, the smartphone will lock and can only be unlocked with the correct Apple ID credentials. This will alleviate some concerns by lawmakers who have in recent weeks complained that the smartphone industry is not doing enough to prevent smartphone-related crimes.

iOS 7 will be released in fall, when a new iPhone is expected to be announced.

Please get home safely."

Rafael Nadal celebrated winning his semifinal match on Friday against Novak Djokovic at the French Open in Paris.

PARIS '� It was only a semifinal and relegated to first on the Friday schedule, which meant that there were plenty of empty seats at the Philippe Chatrier court when Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic walked on court to play for the 35th time.

But by the time they finished chasing down each other's bold strokes in the afternoon sunlight, there could be little doubt that this was the main event.

It required 4 hours 37 minutes, but Nadal, the seven-time French Open champion, prevailed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7 (3), 9-7, over Djokovic, the world's No. 1 player.

The victory earned, truly earned, Nadal a chance to successfully defend his title Sunday against the winner of Friday's second semifinal between the Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the Spaniard David Ferrer.

Tsonga's nationality '� and the big French television audience that goes with it '� explains why his match with Ferrer was scheduled second.

The decision resulted in one of the greatest undercards in tennis as the two men who were long expected to duel for this title this year produced a match of brilliant defense and offense that thoroughly lived up to the expectations.

Nadal, the 27-year-old from the Spanish island Majorca, has still lost just one match in his long career at Roland Garros. That came against Robin Soderling of Sweden in the fourth round in 2009. After holding off Nadal at the end of the fourth set and leading by a service break and 4-3 in the fifth set, Djokovic appeared poised to give Soderling company and himself a chance to win the only Grand Slam singles title he lacks.

But Nadal is one of the game's great competitors and champions. He broke Djokovic's serve in the long, eventful eighth game of the fifth set to get back to 4-4then kept his cool and belief until finally breaking Djokovic's serve at love to win the match.

'It was an incredible match,' said Nadal, who is seeded third this year. 'To play against Novak is always something unusual. We push each other to the limit.'

Nadal now leads 20-15 in their head-to-head rivalry, but he lost their most memorable match: the 2012 Australian Open final in five sets and 5 hours 53 minutes.

This match, in part because of the lopsided third set won by Nadal, never threatened the five-hour mark. But Friday's match was still unquestionably epic.

'He was the one who won in 2012 and today I had the good fortune to win,' Nadal said. 'I'm so happy. I love to play in this atmosphere.'

It was only the second five-set match that Nadal has played at the French Open. He beat John Isner in five sets in the first round here in 2011. He beat Djokovic in last year's final in four sets over two days.

This time they met one round earlier, but whatever comes next will have a hard time matching the quality and suspense that Djokovic and Nadal generated Friday.

Bruins dismantle listless Penguins 6-1 to take 2-0 lead in Eastern Conference ... - Washington Post

PITTSBURGH '� The Boston Bruins keep talking about fortunate bounces and a dash of luck, insisting the margin between themselves and the Pittsburgh Penguins is thin.

At the moment, it looks like a chasm.

Brad Marchand scored twice during a four-goal first period and the Bruins routed the Pittsburgh 6-1 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Monday night to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

'It doesn't matter what the series is at right now,' Marchand said. 'If they get the next one, they're right back in it. The next one is the one that's most important.'

It's a phrase the top-seed Penguins repeated after losing Game 1 on Saturday night to fall behind in a series for the first time in the playoffs. The inspired play they needed never materialized.

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were held scoreless for the second straight contest to send the NHL's highest-scoring team slouching to Boston for Game 3 on Wednesday with its season on the line.

'Tonight was terrible, there's no other way to describe it,' Crosby said. 'A loss is a loss. It's frustrating. You don't like giving one like that. We really didn't do a lot of things to give ourselves a chance to win. This one we have to forget pretty quickly.'

It won't be easy.

David Krejci, Nathan Horton, Patrice Bergeron and Johnny Boychuk also scored for Boston while Tuukka Rask stopped 26 shots. Pittsburgh's top-ranked power play went 0 for 2 and the Penguins were never in it after the Bruins scored three times in 17 minutes to chase Tomas Vokoun.

Brandon Sutter netted Pittsburgh's lone goal. Vokoun gave up three first-period goals on 12 shots before being replaced by Marc-Andre Fleury.

'We've gotten away from our game,' Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma said. 'We've gotten off our game plan.'

The Bruins had more than a little something to do with it. Pouncing on every mistake '� of which there were plenty to choose '� Boston buried the Penguins early. Not bad for a team that needed an improbable third-period rally in Game 7 of the first round against Toronto to advance.

In the span of three weeks, Boston has morphed from a team hanging by a thread into one capable of bookending the Stanley Cup it won two years ago.

'Winning that Toronto series created some momentum from that,' Bruins forward Milan Lucic said. 'We've been able to keep riding that momentum. We need to keep pushing harder.'

Another nudge or two would almost certainly send the Penguins toppling over.

Pittsburgh blamed its choppy play in the opener, including a rare fight by Malkin, on an eight-day layoff, stressing there was no need to panic.

Might be time to start now.

The last 16 teams to go up 2-0 in the conference finals have advanced to the Cup finals. The Penguins managed to escape a 2-0 hole against the Bruins in 1991 on their way to the franchise's first championship.

These days Mario Lemieux is relegated to watching from the owner's box. At the moment, the view isn't pretty.

Marchand took advantage of a sloppy play by Crosby to give Boston the lead just 28 seconds into the game. Crosby attempted to flip a bouncing puck back into Boston's zone. Marchand casually flipped it out of the air, then streaked in on Vokoun before putting a wrist shot over Vokoun's glove.
